Happy Holidays! As we stare down the end of a landmark disaster year, let’s celebrate just existing. If I’ve learned nothing else, my newest mantra is “you are enough.” I tire of the apocalypse cliche garbage, and none of that midnight will make it all go away nonsense. To quote Tim Minchin, "I am a tiny, insignificant, ignorant bit of carbon. I have one life, and it is short and unimportant..." but we are also made of star-stuff according to Carl Sagan. The fact we get to experience anything is nothing short of astounding. One of my gifts this year was a simple sticker, “Worrying means you suffer twice.” So... hope it is. I hope you’ve made the best of things and found a light in the darkest winter. You’re cherished. You are loved. Happy New Year!
My festive gift to you is not cookies, or a fruitcake, or even bourbon balls. It is pie. Cherry pie. Once upon a time, Team Chaos (Varekai, Lance Saint PJ, Michael, and I) got together to make a big mess for art’s sake. When Varekai and I are involved there is bound to be an explosion of food. After the objective was complete (plus a shower) she and I sat down to nom on some wings. Being a fancy lady makes me hungry and we are all goofy as hell. You’ll see what I mean.
