Happy Summer! It feels real to me now, having attended the opening weekend of the Bristol Renaissance Faire. As ever, one of my first stops was by Chainmaille Fashions to visit with my friend (and master artisan extraordinaire) Randolph Markham. Once we were outfitted to defend the realm, we met up with more friends for the Bristol Pub Crawl. The family McGuinness and the Belle sisters are the most bawdy good time you can have between four bars! Once I was nice and toasty, it was time for crepes and relaxing on the floor of the hookah lounge. I even recovered quickly enough to be included in a(n all ages) stage show, before we hurried to game night armed with our d20s. I’ll be back at least once before the close of season, for sure!
Most recently, back from my trip to visit family in North Dakota. It is good to spend some time off the grid every once in a while. It was only a long weekend, but we packed in a lot of visiting with Michael’s extended family I’d never met before. Since the folks keep a reasonable bedtime, it also meant a good bit of gaming, too. We brought along the mini SNES classic and played Donkey Kong Country and the like.
Outside of that, the shows at Headquarters Beercade (downstairs bar) are really heating up! I love bringing the grand and ridiculous to the stage there. Last month, I revamped my Robots act - starting as Bender B. Rodriguez and ending as Number Six (visibly aroused, if you get my drift). Since it had been a long time since I’ve shadow-casted, I trotted out my RHPS Trixie act, too. What will I do next time? Only one way to find out! You can catch me there again on Thursday, August 9th. I’m also appearing at the Friday, August 3rd Peepshow at the Playground Theater!
I met up with SoBelle in a downstate Illinois nature preserve, on what was one of the hottest days of the year. My car thermostat was reading triple digits, so it was the perfect day to go hiking out on the trails for a little gaming - and stripping! Despite the intense heat, SoBelle captured the effervescent spirit behind my fan-favorite Nerdlesque act. While the costume has seen some upgrades since, one thing remains steadfast: the goofy faces and “dance” moves I pull while shaking my booty to Weird Al’s White & Nerdy. So pull up that track and let it bounce around your brain bits while you enjoy Nerdy Nymph. VIP Patrons are getting the full 34 image photoset, and Backstage Patrons also get 18 behind-the-scenes images this month! Be sure you're logged in on my site to view the images. As always, thank you to all my Patrons. You make art happen.
