My darlings! This month has seemed ever so long, with healthcare being the focal point for much of it. I welcomed a new nephew into the world, then my dearest relative was battling respiratory issues, found myself arranging mountains of paperwork through forests of red tape around medications. In the past week, I’ve had to step back to take care of my own health. I’m seeing a full complement of specialists, and really just doing what I should have been all along. Easier to take care of loved ones than one’s self, I suppose. Full steam ahead, because next weekend is the Chicago Fringe Festival. Bim Bam Boom’s Peep Show will be performing each night, and I will be joining the cast for the Sunday and Monday (Labor Day) Shows. All the pertinent information can be found here.
Strapped was shot by the incomparable SNS Photo, and submitted to Gothic Noir magazine. A selection appeared full page in their June issue that year. I’m ever so proud of the work SNS and I have created together. His specialty is in the macabre, the sinister, and horror. It translates well to some of my darker fetish work, giving the images a distinct vibrancy and depth. While shot in his studio, all the costuming seen here is from my personal collection. Nothing is a mere prop; it is an honest glimpse into yet another facet of yours truly.
