Last week I had the immense pleasure of being invited to perform for The Admiral Theatre’s Comic Strips nights in conjunction with Wizard World. It is somewhat surreal to be escorted by security handling your valet and baggage; swept into your dressing room with a star on the door, one with press from Roxi D’lite’s appearances around the room, leopard print chairs you want to walk out with, leather sofas for my roadie to lounge on, stocked mini-fridge and service from the booker/stage manager, a massive theatrical mirror and counter for makeup and primping. I got all this, and more than that, shared the experience with two fabulous strip sisters from my company. We were invited to the club with specifically scouted and selected acts. Mine were Jem! with brand new music tracks, and the other was my Serenity tribute to Inara Serra with Marie Curieosity guesting. She also performed as Morticia, and Miss Kevlar B. Lightning brought Velma Dinkley and Emma Frost. It was an amazing experience, and one I hope to relive soon.

Here’s to getting moved in! Lots of people think of unpacking your whole life as this massive chore, and it is, but if you lean into it there is a lot of depth to be found. I have to touch every single thing I own, wrap it to protect it, carry it with me, and find a space for it in my new home. Some things don’t make it into the boxes, some things are broken along the way, and some things can’t find space in your new surroundings. All that is left is intentionally kept with a purpose and a promise to be useful and enjoyed. Not everything we move is physical. We move emotions, memories, and aspirations. Unboxed is me unpacking myself. Everyone be sure to grab the desktop background attached to this post. VIPs are getting the full 30 image photoset, and Backstage Patrons also get 25 beyond-the-set images this month! Be sure you're logged in on my site to view the images. Feel free to give the set some love by leaving a comment or clicking the heart below. As always, thank you to all my Patrons. You make art happen.
